Choose the Sailing Experience That Fits Your Day
Mowana offers three private formats:
Morning Half-Day: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Sunset Half-Day: 1:30 PM until sunset.
Full Day: 9:30 AM until sunset.
The private sunset sailing tour from Playa Flamingo is a natural choice for couples who want to spend the afternoon on the water and finish the experience around sunset.
The Full Day gives you more time on the coast, while the morning tour leaves the rest of the afternoon free for other plans in Guanacaste.
Activities for Two on the Pacific
When conditions allow, your tour can include swimming, snorkeling, fishing and use of the one paddleboard carried aboard Mowana. The captain selects suitable areas according to the conditions of the day.
Two swimming or snorkeling stops may be possible when conditions allow, but they are never guaranteed. If visibility, currents or sea conditions are not suitable, the captain may adjust the plan.
You can also choose to do very little: relax together on the boat, enjoy the coastline and let the sailing itself be the main experience.

Seeing Guanacaste from the Pacific gives a different perspective on its beaches, rocky shoreline and tropical dry-forest hills.
The route is not built around a guaranteed list of beaches or anchorages. Wind, waves, currents and visibility change, so the captain decides where to sail and stop on the day of your tour.
Marine wildlife can sometimes add a special moment to the trip. Dolphins, sea turtles, rays or tropical fish may be encountered, but wildlife sightings are natural and never guaranteed.
Food and Unlimited Drinks on Board
Every Mowana tour includes food and unlimited drinks, but the food service depends on the tour you choose.
Morning Half-Day: snacks, plus coffee and cinnamon rosquillas.
Sunset Half-Day: snacks and drinks; coffee and rosquillas are not part of this tour.
Full Day: a complete menu throughout the day, including a BBQ lunch, fruit and other prepared items, plus coffee and cinnamon rosquillas.
Menus can vary during the season.
Unlimited drinks include water, soft drinks, juices, beer, red, white and rosé wine, cava, rum, gin, vodka, tequila, guaro and cocktails such as blended Margaritas, within the standard onboard offering.
What to Bring
Bring swimwear, sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and a light cover-up. A waterproof pouch or bag can be useful for phones and personal items.
Snorkeling gear, fishing equipment and one paddleboard are already available on board.
If you have a food allergy or an important dietary requirement, tell the team in advance so the onboard food service can be adapted when possible.
