A Private Afternoon on the Guanacaste Coast
After a safety briefing, your captain selects the route according to wind, sea conditions, currents, and visibility. Mowana may head north or south to find a sheltered bay suited to the afternoon. There is no fixed anchorage promised in advance.
Once anchored, choose how to spend your time: snorkel, swim, try the paddleboard, or stay aboard with a view of the coastline. When conditions allow, we travel under sail. Your private sailing experience follows a flexible itinerary, with comfort and safety guiding the route and water sports adapted to local conditions.

Tropical fish, rays, sea turtles, or dolphins may sometimes be encountered. These animals live freely in nature, so wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Swimming plans also depend on sea conditions, swimming ability, and the needs of children in your group.
Paddleboarding on the Pacific
One paddleboard is available. Paddle around the boat and explore the calm water when conditions permit. You can also swim, rest on deck, or take photos while your companions enjoy the activities.
Sunset Aboard Mowana
As evening approaches, Mowana leaves the bay and resumes sailing when conditions allow. Settle into a beanbag or onto the trampolines for the final part of your cruise. Every sunset is different; clouds, weather, and the season shape the colors and the view.
A Fresh Meal with a View of the Pacific
A fresh Costa Rican barbecue is prepared onboard by our crew. Snacks may include fresh bites such as vegetables with dip, chimichurri with homemade chips, and fruit; menus vary with the season. Unlimited drinks are included, with beverages such as water, juices, soft drinks, beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
