A private sailing tour can give a family one shared day on the Pacific without joining a large group excursion.
Mowana is a renovated Buccaneer 33 trimaran reserved exclusively for your group, with capacity for up to 12 guests.
Tours depart from Playa Flamingo Beach, directly in front of the PLEAMAR restaurant.
Why Private Sailing Works for Families
Because the entire boat is reserved for your group, parents and children can enjoy the day without adapting to unrelated passengers.
The captain still makes all route and activity decisions according to wind, waves, currents, visibility and the abilities of the group.
Children must remain under the supervision of their parents or responsible adults and follow the crew’s safety instructions.
Activities When Conditions Allow
Depending on conditions, the tour can include swimming, snorkeling, fishing and use of the one paddleboard carried on board.
Two swimming or snorkeling areas may sometimes be possible, but they are never guaranteed.
Wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, rays or seasonal whales may also be encountered, but no sighting is guaranteed.
Choose Morning, Sunset or Full Day
Mowana offers three private formats:
Morning Half-Day: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Sunset Half-Day: 1:30 PM until sunset.
Full Day: 9:30 AM until sunset.
The best choice depends on the children’s ages, routine and how much time the family wants to spend on the water.
Food and Unlimited Drinks
All tours include food and unlimited drinks.
Morning Half-Day: snacks, coffee and cinnamon rosquillas.
Sunset Half-Day: snacks and drinks.
Full Day: a complete menu with fruit, morning items, a BBQ lunch, dessert, coffee and cinnamon rosquillas.
Menus can vary during the season.
Snorkeling with Children
Children should only enter the water when they are comfortable swimming and able to follow instructions.
The captain selects the snorkeling area according to visibility, currents, waves and sea conditions. An adult should remain close to a child in the water.
